Gary Rossington was a famous American musician and one of the founding members of the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Rossington’s contributions to Lynyrd Skynyrd include co-writing some of the band’s biggest hits, such as “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama,” as well as playing lead and rhythm guitar on many of their classic tracks.

He has also performed on and co-written songs for Lynyrd Skynyrd’s numerous albums.

Gary Rossington was born on December 4, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.

Rossington is a guitarist and songwriter, and he has been a key member of Lynyrd Skynyrd since the band’s inception in the late 1960s.

Rossington’s career has not been without its challenges, however.

In 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s plane crashed, killing several members of the band and crew, including Rossington’s longtime musical partner, Ronnie Van.
