Erykah Badu Celebrates 47th Birthday with an Epic Party

Erykah Badu celebrated her 47th birthday this past weekend with a concert at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. The “Orange Moon” singer’s official birthday is today, Feb. 26. Badu’s star-studded celebration included the likes of rapper/singer Anderson .Paak, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, comedian Dave Chappelle, rapper Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and others. Badu’s party was so epic she wanted to share it with the world and live-streamed the event, calling it the Bless You Bruja!

Above, Anderson .Paak Badu serenaded the singer. Below, Chappelle did a rendition of Prince’s “1999.”

Pinkett-Smith who also brought her daughter Willow along is seen in a long embrace with Badu. Comedian Micheal Blackson was also spotted on stage.

Despite all the celebrity appearances, Badu may have been touched most by her daughter Puma’s performance. Filled with heat emojis she captioned the IG video expressing her love for her eldest daughter. “Thank you PUMA! I love you.”
