In 2005, Big Pokey and Paul Wall collaborated on the song “Sittin’ Sidewayz,” which peaked at number 93 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, demonstrating their skill as a team. Powell tragically passed away and lost consciousness on June 18, 2023, while performing at a bar in Beaumont, Texas. 

He received immediate medical care, but he died at the tragically young age of 45.
